Who Can Apply?Any Parent, Guardian, Family Member, Welfare Organisation, Government Entity, School etc that has a role in caring for a youth at risk of antisocial behaviour, violence, crime, substance abuse and suicide may apply for a place on a Champ Camp. Selection CriteriaYouth at risk who may be selected for a Champ Camp should be male and between 13 and 18 years of age, 'ready' for positive change, commit himself to 9 days of camping in the bush, 'currently' off drugs and substance abuse, have a reasonable level of health and fitness for working outdoors, bush walking and climbing maountains, ready to disclose any criminal record and ready to disclose any psychiatric background and treatemtn. More detailed criteria will be detailed on the Application Forms. Self Funded ParticipantsYoung people, either at their own expense or through non Vitae sponsorship, can be selected for participation in the Champ Camp at a cost of $1,500 (not including return travel to the Camp Assembly Point).
